Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “The performance of Umrah is expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous ones. And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (pilgrimage accepted by Allah) is nothing but Paradise.” (Al-Bukhari)

The Prophet S.A.W also said: “Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or transgression will return [free from sins] as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him.” (Al-Bukhari)

Hajj is mandatory for Muslim adults to go on Hajj at least once in their lifetime. They must be of sound mind and physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey. The pilgrimage must take place during the month of Dhu al Hijja, the last month of the Islamic calendar.

At Al-Hidayah Islamic school, Year 3 students learnt about the prophets Ibrahim and Ismaeel through stories and were able to highlight and identify the importance of miraculous and historical facts. In summary, they participated effectively in performing Manasik al Hajj in the Musallah as a practical activity to scaffold their learning.

It was a wonderful experience for the Year 3 students as indicated in the video.
