Newly Planted Australian Native Trees

Alhamdulillah, Thanks to Brother Suleyman from Sunnyside Landscapes and Gardens, we have two new native trees in the quadrangle in our Nature Play area at Al-Hidayah Islamic School.

The two trees are Eucalyptus cladocalyx nana (dwarf sugar gum) and Corymbia ficifolia (red flowering gum ‘Muchea red’). They are both Australian natives, but the red flowering gum is native to WA.

The hedge plants to the east of the play area are Pittosporum tenuifolium, another Australian native with excellent drought tolerance and screening abilities.

Br Suleyman planted a variety that was selectively bred from a tree that originated in Muchea. We hope that Allah gives plenty of shade from the trees and allows many of his creation to benefit, Ameen.
