The Walker Learning Approach includes the opportunity for each child to be a “Focus Child” once a fortnight.
The focus children speak to the class during “tuning in”, informing their peers and teacher of their investigation intentions.
Personalised Learning
The teacher works individually with the focus children using their interests to personalise, extend, and scaffold their learning. The teacher supports the focus child during their “investigation time” to ensure ongoing engagement in all areas of learning.
Focus children report back at “reflection time” to share their learning and observations.
