On Thursday, 21 October, staff and students enjoyed a fantastic day of fun and friendly competition at our annual Sports Carnival, Alhamdulillah. The level of engagement from our students throughout the day in both their races and team games was outstanding. In particular, our Year 5 and 6 Faction Captains and Vice Captains did a wonderful job encouraging participation and engagement from the other students in their respective factions, and lending teachers a helping hand when needed.
The theme and focus of our Sports Carnival this year was SPORTSMANSHIP and TEAMWORK. The core values we encouraged and promoted were working together with our teammates, encouraging one another, trying our hardest, playing fair, treating opponents with respect, not boasting and showing great Akhlaq and manners throughout the day. Masha’Allah Tabarakallah, our students demonstrated these qualities in so many ways with one another, which was very positive to see.
Congratulations to all those students who took part in our Sports Carnival and Masha’Allah Tabarakallah to our medal recipients from Pre-Primary to Year 6. The total Faction Points were very close at the end of the day, however, Red Faction was able to just scrape ahead to win the Faction Trophy for this year – Congratulations to our Red Faction!! We look forward to our Sports Carnival in 2022…which faction will take home the trophy next year?
