Years 3 to 6 at Al-Hidayah Islamic School have been busy collecting food donations for charity this past week. The students collected non-perishable food items to donate to the Community Food Hamper Project (WA).
The Community Food Hamper Project (WA) runs in conjunction with Muslim Aid Australia. The food items collected will be packed up by volunteers into food hamper boxes and distributed to agencies such as The Muslim Women’s Support Centre. These hampers give assistance to people in our local community who are struggling to provide food for their families.

And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, [Saying], “We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful.”
