Casual Relief Teachers
Early Childhood & Primary
Al-Hidayah Islamic School is seeking the services of suitably qualified Early Childhood and Primary Teachers to join our current Casual Relief Pool offering a competitive daily rate.
Applications are invited from teachers who are reliable, enthusiastic and flexible and would be committed to adopting our Walker Learning pedagogy (a play-based and inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning). It is the basis of the school’s ethos that the Islamic nature of the school takes precedence over all other considerations.
Final year pre-service Teachers are also encouraged to apply for our Casual Relief Pool.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To join our Casual Relief Pool, you must:
- Be currently living in Perth, Western Australia
- Be eligible to work in Australia
- Have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Registered with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)
- Teach competently using English as the medium of instruction
- Have a good general working knowledge of Islam and its implementation
For pre-service Teachers, you must also:
- Be in the final year of your education degree (Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching) at an Australian university
- Show proof of completed professional experiences
- Fill in the application for limited registration found on the TRBWA website

NOTE TO PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS: Once the TRBWA grants your limited registration and you are successful in your application, you will have the opportunity to be added to our Casual Relief Pool.
