Bismillah Ar-rahman Ar-rahim
On Friday, the 9th of September, the 7th of Dhul-Hijjah 1437H, Al-Hidayah Islamic School held a special Eid Assembly to keep the spirit of Hajj alive for our students during these precious ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and to celebrate Eid-ul Adha.
The Assembly started with Takbeeratul-Eid from the Haram in Makkah with everyone repeating the takbeer enchantingly. Then, the Year 4 girls talked about the virtues of the 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, giving some practical tips on how to be productive during these ten blessed days. This was followed by a short video explaining the rituals of Hajj. To further enhance the students’ knowledge of the rituals of Hajj, the Pre-primary students performed a mini-hajj as they sang the nasheed “We will all go to Makkah on the Hajj”.
The Assembly concluded with a Hajj Quiz that involved all classes from Pre-primary to year 6. The students had fun while learning about the acts of Hajj. Everyone received a mini Kaaba gift at the end of the Assembly. Alhamdullilah, the Assembly was a wonderful celebration for everyone!.
