Parental early literacy session at Al-Hidayah School on the 29th of March 2010.
Alhamdulillah, the school has started to collaborate with parents on what they can do to give a head start to their children before they join the Pre Primary class.
Many parents voiced their opinions and there were many valuable suggestions to teach the pre Primary candidates.
Language is based on immersion of new words and creating opportunities. Parents are advised to include their toddlers in oral language stimulations so that they can develop their bank of words early in their lives. |

Mothers suggested that Maths could be taught in the kitchen, shopping adventures could be turned into a lesson on different kinds of vegetables. Visiting friends could be a session on learning different feelings of people other then Mum.
Islamic lessons such as learning Arabic alphabets will greatly help the student when they come to school. |
