AL-HIDAYAH Islamic School student Nurin Kamaruldzee has won a statewide poster competition to encourage people to pursue their dreams.

Nurin (11) was awarded a certificate and prize from the Career Education Association of Western Australia recently after she won the Year 4-5 category of the competition, held as part of National Career Development Week in June.

Students were encouraged to submit posters that reflected the theme of the week: ‘Get the life you love’.

Principal Abdullah Khan said the campaign was designed to encourage Australians to actively manage their careers from childhood.

“This campaign was about assisting not only students but Australians of all ages to take responsibility for their own career and to recognise that just about everything we do, planned or unplanned, can contribute to our goals and aspirations,” he said.
